HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.—(September 22, 2023)–Ocean Media, the largest independent media agency on the West Coast, has hired Matthew Aronowitz as VP, Data Science and Marketing Technology, effective immediately.
He was most recently a senior data scientist at BSE Global where he worked on applied machine learning, data science, and strategy across the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, Barclays Center, and other Joe Tsai sports & entertainment properties.
Aronowitz, who is based in The New York Metro area reports to Annmarie Turpin, Chief Technology Officer at Ocean Media.
“Matthew is a stellar scientist whose skills and experience in data mining, digital marketing, programming languages, analytics, and myriad other specialties that are applicable to media is a phenomenal addition to our team,” Turpin said. “He has already hit the ground running.”
Before joining BSE Global in March 2020, Aronowitz spent 18 years as a Data Scientist and Portfolio Manager at NYAM LLC, a member firm of ICE, NYBOT, CME, NYMEX, and COMEX. There he developed data science and machine-learning algorithms for predictive trading and pricing strategies.
He started his data science career as a “Quant,” building proprietary trading algorithms and machine-learning systems as a member with floor trading privileges for the New York and Chicago derivative exchanges.
A chartered financial analyst who completed his training at the CFA Institute, Aronowitz graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. in finance.
